Drone Tone Tool is an application developed by professional musicians and music educators to offer high-quality reference pitches imbued with the exquisite overtones of an authentic cello. Musicians of all skill levels are encouraged to explore the advantages of practicing with reference tones.

Purpose and benefits of reference/drone tones:

 <li>A reference (or drone) tone acts as a stable harmonic center. It enhances our ability to perceive the interactions between multiple pitches, reinforcing our internal pitch sense. By aligning a movable pitch (produced by an instrument or voice) with a fixed pitch (drone tone), we develop a heightened awareness of consonant perfect intervals and nuances within Major/Minor intervals. This refined sense of relative pitch contributes to artistic expression through precise intonation.</li>
